The American Academy of Event Medicine promotes the highest quality of event medicine and is the leading advocate for emergency event medical providers, event producers, and the public.
Founded in 2015, the American Academy of Event Medicine is the only association dedicated to the scientific and regulatory advancement of event medicine. In 2015, the American Academy of Event Medicine hosted the inaugural Mass Gathering Medicine Summit in New York City, with representation from over twelve countries. 2023 Course Chair - Humaira Ali, DO
Dr. Humaira Ali is board certified emergency medicine physician who specializes in simulation education and emergency medical services. Dr. Ali graduated summa cum laude from an accelerated medical program at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a graduate of Maimonides Medical Center's emergency medicine residency program in Brooklyn, New York. Given her love of education and prehospital care, after residency she went on to complete a simulation fellowship followed by an EMS fellowship. Dr. Ali has served as the pre-hospital physician for many large scale events, including Burning Man, and major venues including SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and Madison Square Garden in New York City. Outside of medicine, Dr. Ali enjoys cooking traditional Indian food with a modern twist, writing and surfing.
